I hear it a million times a day.

No one means it.

They just mean this is work,

Hard,

They don't want to do it.

"The Struggle"

Should mean

A hard time,

The work you put into something,

Even if it requires help.

So before you say

"The Struggle"

Think.

Agreed! I hate it when people misuse terms like this.

I grew up in a nice, solidly middle class town and the less rich area of town, everyone called "the ghetto" >.> It drove me absolutely insane. So do people calling having to work "a struggle"

A struggle is like when you go up a very steep hill that's more like a cliff and you're carrying a heavy rucksack.

Oh, you are so right! The overuse of "struggle" annoys me too. Maybe people overuse it because we're lazy anymore and any kind of work is too hard. A very original poem idea, Kat.
