Apologies

This creation was born out of boredom, having to look like I was doing work in class and also a little bit of self-disappointment which I'm nearly past (YAY!). Enjoy!

I'm sorry that I'm me,

I'm sorry that I couldn't be the one that you wanted,

I'm sorry I'm not Barbie,

I'm sorry I couldn't be the perfect one,

I'm sorry that I'm disappointing,

I'm sorry that you wanted something else,

I'm sorry,

I'm just sorry.

Your use of repetition works for this poem, I think, but as a whole the poem isn't very inspiring or fun to read - there's a lot of potential for beautiful metaphors and imagery with this concept, and especially the medium of poetry, so it's a little disappointing that you decided to pass all that up and go for something this simple. Simplicity can be good, but I feel like this piece is a little too much so.
