Rush

Rush

A Poem by dangerbooze

In this single moment
Many things occur
I see stars explode
Fireworks burst behind my eyes

My heartbeat gallops
Faster than wild horses
Pounds harder
Stronger
A brutal rhythm of passion

Movement that twists
Turns and tumbles
The balmy summer air
Silk that glides on our flesh

In this single moment
Where everything could happen
Oceans rage
Volcanoes erupt
Ancient creatures of the past
Walk and vanish from the Earth

In this final
Complete moment
A void is filled
Wonder is brought forth
The purest of treasures

Life is formed.

Beautifully done and full of inspiration. All endings do have new beginnings. All you mention have ALWAYS existed as a threat to existance for all of time. Yet so much is put out there of fear of all these things. I say fear of fear is worse.. creates panic.. distorts judgement calls. I mean myself I'd rather not know.. than be a deer in the headlights knowing. Quality of life will not flourish and while everyone is focused on "what if".. they will age in fear of something that "may" not happen with no quality of life?

If everyone looked to people who KNOW they are dying.. how do they spend the last of their time? Most enjoy what they can of it. Your writing is a very positive contribution and an inspiration to what is the true value of the life cycle itself.

This is...beautiful, amazing, and words of that nature. I really liked it, the way you bring together these different forms of nature and pull them into a story like poem is wonderful. I would love to read more of your work.

What I enjoyed most about this piece was the powerful ending it stood on. You certainly have a knack for casting forth an atmosphere that surrounds the reader.

Nicely done ;)

In this moment, sometimes overwhelming, but moments like that should be treasured and put down on paper to be remembered (oh yeah you did that!)

I'm a lazy writer. I write what I feel when I feel like it. But to be more specific, I have a constant case of writer's block about pretty much every thought that I can think of or even consider. .. more..
