Rooms (in Blue)

A Poem by getinthecarplease

Awakening on solitary dawns
Likening bears gold seal sands
Before the shimmering skyline of music and light
I am wearisome in night, without sight
Keepers of the trade come withering along an air
And as I beckon to the flare, with mystic care
Day shall be
In fens of ancient solitude
I preach the verses, with challenging curses
Trellis for vicinity shares my vine
I am sought in mass, a prayer entwined
I am lost in words
Cold gusts in a maelstrom of telltale love
Glittering night amid a flight of doves
As the chorus is sung in cheering unity
Left beside the windowsill
A host of gems and forgotten memories
Between the hours folding in chanted scours
I am lost inside the bellows of rain on my roof
I shall perish in the sea
In me, the revealing lines of my obituary
The death of friends as the light dies down
Chilling scents of alcoholic daydreams
A scream wandering the prose
Beside orchid and rose
I am left inside the bellows
What do I care? Where shall I stare?
As the shadows all converge
Vanished at the merge
Of dying night and birthed dawn
And so I see along the scree of my gloomy sea
Thunders crying their rage
Full with tears and shrieks
Trapped in a wineglass cage
Of cloud and misplaced time
I have no reason...nor rhyme
Along this song of guilt and fear
Pretend to be alike
Pretend to be...to see?
