Evening blue softly coloring

the vibes of Sunday dusk

in whitewashed rooms

of glittering gloom.

Where does he starshine?

Where does he glow?

How does our mankind

flee from shadow?

Flickering orange gently settles

across the plain of grey paths and serenity.

Foaming ice caught in the cascades,

a thought once sought by regal charades.

Where does she wallow?

Where does she confide?

How does our darkness

enter from the other side?

Paradise/Tannenbaum,

the odes of ice fade in muddy brown.

Standing apart from tomorrow's hand

reaching to part your wonderland.

Holy challenge of midnight hues

gathered in quicksand and sunken cruise.

Where do we founder?

Where do we sigh?

How do they ponder

afore the rites to die?

Days alone in poetic unknown.

Too late to greet the moonlight/

too late to leave my home.

Where do I linger?

Where do I find

the shrinking splendors

of life inside my mind?
