I am....

I am....

A Poem by Gee
"

A constant

"
I am night and day,
the sun and moon,
the ebbing, flowing tides.
I am the changing seasons,
reliable, predictable, dependable.
I am a smile for a sad face,
a dry shoulder for tears,
strong arms and a soft, kind heart.
I am proud, devoted, loyal,
loving..........irreplaceable.
I am eternally grateful,
grateful that I am her father.

You can't think better than that.
Always there to say well done, or he's not the one.

you are welcome.
I can see you gazing at her in this Gee - without making it too obvious to her - as she studies - filled with pride, worry, tears up-welling and heart swelling.
Brought a lump to my throat.

Ditto Gee son.
I applaud you as a good father! Your loving, proud words are so touching and inspiring- you are everything to your daughter, as she is everything to you- "irreplaceable", yes. More fathers should be like you! Beautiful, lyrical and very important poem- good fathers make healthy, loving strong children. Kudos!

Cheers E, she's like a second daughter to me
Such a lovely poem.

The perfect father - apart from mine! Beautiful words, finely laid. 'I am eternally grateful' must be how you feel at having her in your life.

Believe me, all the men in your daughter's future life will need equal your daughter's darling dad!
