What has been in my heart and head lately

Tattered

     Lonely

Stoned

Defeated

 

I long to be cheerful,

I put on a good show.

Detached from Reality,

Attached to Depression.

 

Used

Foolish

Apprehensive

Distant

 

The impossible, I accomplished

Self Esteem Stayed the Same.

Emotionally Swayed, Such an easy PREY.

Heart always broken, still I search.

 

Frustrated

Distraught

Pissy

Sad

 

Life has lots of lessons,

Some extremely difficult to survive.

Desperation in my heart,

To actually have love in my life.

Though I don't quite get the point of such a LONG break at the begining this is some really excellent work. The flow and cadence of the piece reminds me a great deal of the early works of Thoreau. The simply yet honest emotion you project in this piece is captivating. Again, Top Notch work.
