Cries of the Boy

Cries of the Boy

A Poem by Ian Titian
"

A poem ... a tragic one, to be interpreted as you wish, dear reader.

"

Cries of the Boy

Born into this world not by light nor darkness

But with sorrow and grief from a dying mother

Voice of angels though he cried

Not for pity nor sorrow

Ain’t for sadness, nor happiness

In that voice of his he muttered with great discomfort

A wail of longing and questioning

How pitifully saddening to hear

Such a newborn soul to die without ever having been loved

Alone ... in every meaning of the word
