Miltonian Sonnet I wrote this sonnet after i was flipping through an antique collection of classic tales... And i was ever so shocked when i saw that Disney (and some other companies) changed the endings of so many tales...

Glass slipper and Cinderella
Seven Dwarves and Snow White
Rapunzel and her Shining Knight
Troy Bolton and Gabriella
Edward Cullen and Bella
These fairy tales need a rewrite
Wake up dreamer, turn on the light
Wet Cinderella under no umbrella

Aladdin and Arabian Queen
King's daughter and The Tailor
Beauty, Beast and their magic utensils
Hunchback and Lady Tambourine
The Pirate Princess and her Whaler
Boundless paper, live colossal pencils
Fair ladies sitting on window sills
Give these tales no such promotion
Little mermaid threw her life into the ocean

No sparkling serum, no magic potion
Keep your fantasies within
Fairy tales are for the young kin

So we wake from our dreams,Cinderella had her time long past
there are no knights no more,These fairy tales should be rewritten and we turn on the light
