Yasmine led Naye

And Ayah down the hall

Her eyes darting between

The shadows and corners

They moved fast down the hall

 

The blood stopped out-

Side of Lab 36, silence

And heavy breathing filled

The empty hallway; Naye

Flinched as Yasmine stopped

 

“Before we go

In there,” Yasmine said, turning

To Naye, “How did you turn

To smoke back in S-13?” Naye

Shivered, “I don’t know, I just did.”

 

Yasmine swallowed

And said, “I think I did

Something too. I think I

Closed the doors with my mind.”

Naye blinked and said, “S-13 is cursed.”

 

Yasmine pushed the

Door open and stepped into

The lab; Von was lying

On a table, unconscious

Lou was missing

 

Yasmine rushed to

Her friend, shaking him awake

Von shot up and screamed,

“Where is he?!” Yasmine hugged

Him and said, “Let’s go!”

 

Yasmine shouted

As Lou grabbed her legs from

Under the table, Ayah

Dashed to them and started

Kicking Lou in the face

 

Yasmine dropped down

And Lou reached for her neck

Ayah stomped on his head

Screaming for him to let

Yasmine go; Lou stopped moving

 

Naye ran to Von,

Helping him down from the

Table; “Are you okay?” she asked.

Von nodded, Ayah gave Lou

One last kick, then screamed

 

Lou grabbed onto

Ayah’s calf, trying to

Bite the teenage-girl, she

Screamed trying to shove the

Violent man off of her

 

Yasmine tried to

Pull him off; Lou shoved her

Across the room; then Von

Dropped a microscope on

His head and Lou flipped

 

The guard screeched as

He knocked Von to the floor

A scalpel in his hand

He dragged himself on top

Of Von and raised the blade
