The Void

The Void

A Poem by Jason Shadows
"

Can there be peace within?

"
Crashed hard into the abyss
Walked into the darkness again.
(Make)
The way is shut to the other side
My ride is far to gone now to reach.
(Haste)
Vanishing from this place I retrace
Footsteps in the stars light up the race.
(To)
Cold wind and whispering ghost of the ancients
Turn around and see the projection of your own soul.
(Reach)
Out of time it seems to make you remember me
Holding onto the sadness and madness of life.
(Their)
Green and gray the other world is haunting
I don't belong in this place please rescue me.
(Soul)
Run...Run far into the distance blackness of the our dead
Once you get it don't let go of the one thing that is not yours.
Bring them home if you can for we smile at those who try and fail
This is our home and your more than welcome to stay for the effort.
(Smile and be happy you made it home)
