You Are

You Are

A Poem by Meridian

If there are any words to explain
How much of a joy you are to me,
I have never heard them spoken.
If I could paint colors across the sky
To show you and him and them
How much love I have for you,
It would rain Picasso and Miro.
The sun would shine Basquiat.
If you could look into my soul,
You would find your reflection
Because you are the singular cause
Of my anticipation.
