All I Need

Written to someone who has one my heart.....

 

I don't need bandages and band-aids

Even if I'm bruised and bleeding

I don't need kind words

I don't need someone to show a sympathic feeling

 

I don't need money

even if it's for a good use

I don't need material things

For that will turn me into a selfish fool

 

I don't need medication

Even though I may be very ill

I don't need a shrink

I can't stand the scribbling of a quill

 

I don't need to be able to run outside

Even if I've been locked away from so long

I don't need people to surround me

So soon they'll be gone

 

I don't need a pillow to scream into

Letting my voice fill the halls

I don't need someone to pick up the phone

I sometimes get annoyed by those calls

 

I don't need to look back at the past

To try and redo all the wrong things I've done

I don't need to spend time with friends

Even though I always have fun

 

I need someone to hug and to kiss

Someone to help me in this world that is cruel

Someone to tell me things will change

Truly the only one I need is you
