Long lonely Nights

Long lonely Nights

A Poem by Lexi Wilkins

Those long lonely nights
When your head is full of wonder
You softly close your eyes
Though you get no slumber

Pictures in your mind
Strange thoughts start to appear
You try to wish them all away
It's only Insomnia you hear

Those long lonely nights
When you try hard to fall asleep
Tossing and Turning
Even counting sheep

Small raindrops on the window
Or traffic on the street
Nothing is helping
Your mind is on repeat

I know that feeling way too well. Nicely said.

Wonderful end to the write - "Nothing is helping
Your mind is on repeat". I love your thought process. It might be complicated but you don't puzzle it up in your writes.

Those long nights are a real burden when you actually want to get rid of the stupid thoughts creeping up your mind. I can relate to this.

You've written this nicely.
