Is Love A Lie?

Is Love A Lie?

A Poem by LivingDeath

I felt your lips
upon my neck
and felt your warm embrace.

I thought if love
was really there
or if it was all a lie.

For it wouldn't be the first time
you played me on like this,
but it wouldn't be the last time
that I'd fall for it.

In the words of someone else I know in spirit ... "My body is all you want to talk about ... I can see what you want me to be...." So sad.

Oh, dear. Too many times, I've been here myself. You want it to be real, but all they want is what they want you to be; not who you really are. Shame, really. Spot-on expression of that f-ing thing.

shows the reality of things!

This is a very hardcore, very truthful poem. Extremely powerful with few words.

This is sad actually. People often play upon other's emotions to get what they want and then cast you aside. You have to find the right person to share the ultimate gift of love with, for it is special. It's sad, really, how everyone now days goes around telling everyone they love with after a few days or so of dating. This shows the other end of the story, not the users, but the used. Nicely written.
