Is Love A Lie?

Is Love A Lie?

A Poem by LivingDeath

I felt your lips
upon my neck
and felt your warm embrace.

I thought if love
was really there
or if it was all a lie.

For it wouldn't be the first time
you played me on like this,
but it wouldn't be the last time
that I'd fall for it.

I say don't give up on love because you never know when you'll find that perfect person!

I love the ending especially. Very short & to the point- yet not lacking any substance. Great job!

very short, very nice. i love the feeling of on-going love in the midst of doubt. i don't know how u did that but it was truly great. the last stanza was just great.. acceptance of foolishness of love. the decision to go through with it all over again, knowing that you could get hurt.
good job!!! keep it up!

Very cool poem. Brings up the question, is love here physical of emotional? The subject seems to be searching for emotional love but willing to take it as just a physical act. Is that enough? and if not, is is worth the cost? so much in such a short poem. Great!

Thought-provoking viewpoint that you have here. I like the last stanza -- it reminds me of many people who have fallen for things like this. Great job, made me think as well ;]
