Joy

Joy

A Poem by Blue Moon Ice Cream
"

A woman's complete happiness.

"
The door flings wide
Ecstasy
She flies from the porch
A blue cotton-clad blur
Chestnut locks streaming
Tossed recklessly in the breeze
A light-hearted laugh for all the countryside to hear
A tranquil morning infused by imagined melody
Pure joy, simple rapture
Deep molasses eyes spy only one thing
Shredded uniform, bloodied feet
Haggard shell of a man
Still he shines like the sun

Missed you, I have not seen anything new from you in a while? So I thought I'd dig into some of your older stuff. As always, great write!

Wow. Beautifully written. So simple and incredible at the same time. It creates the image step by step which is quite amazing. The scene gradually unfolds and we get to know the tiny details in each of them. Loved each line! :)

Wow I love this. It truly embodies everything that a poem should, beauty, meaning, a tiny slice of life put into perspective. And it's so enjoyable to read!
