until our forever

until our forever

A Poem by Lydia Shutter
"

a repost from way back for Valentine's Day....because words do not expire

"

artwork by daniela man
you pull me back towards myself
with your special brand of gravity
you surround me with your loving logic
then pour me into your arms
just one more time
one for the road as it were
a steady slow rain of emotion falls
desire blossoms
in this half dream - half reality moment

mon amour
perhaps it has all been said before
but i must tell you once more
with feeling
when the sun embraces the sea
when the moon kisses the stars
               until our forever
i love you

can't say I'm a big fan of V-Day, mainly I guess cause what you are writing so poetically, and so very "nicely" I might add, should be the 'half dream-half reality' continuously, by the day, by the hour, every nanosecond now and forever, but there is a reason they also say, "never got to bed angry".....

I did have this once though, but it was very long ago when the sea ate the sun and stars shown in her eyes and the moon lit up her face... our forever lasts now only in my dreams... but Lydi, your repost has reminded me of those days and that time and the way that dreams remain and keep your heart beating... your poetry always reminds me just how "nice" love can be...

You write about love as if it surpasses life itself; in your hands, in your mind, it does and gloriously, Lydi. You confirm that if one knows how it feels, it is - simply that.

As you say,: '.. you surround me with your loving logic - then pour me into your arms - just one more time ..'

Love is...when you don't know if you are dreaming or awake, but still keep the noise down just in case it wakes you up.
Beautiful and fitting words for "that day", or any other.

Can never have too much of it, my friend!
When the sun embraces the sea... when the moon kisses the stars... until our forever...
Somehow I feel a Harlequin romance invade my dreams.. truly a romantic read from a book left on a bench by the sea. Pat

We sure don't.
Words do not expire, thank God. If we were only to use each once, what would we say, other than to repeat what's been said before? Such lovely sentiment for Valentine's everywhere!
