Learning

A Poem by Dave

"Learning"

Let me again hold you close, to breathe in the aroma of you.
Feel once more the softness of your warm body, touching mine.
Taste your lips sweet as fresh strawberries, ready to be kissed
red juices flowing down your chin, I lick with my eager tongue.

You hold me as close as I hold you, a grip that says never let go.
So far away you went, I know not where, but you have returned.
Not the same as before, but even better, because of the learning
both of us knowing that only together, we are and should be one.

We hold each other close, so that when we breathe it is together.
The fruits we eat are those that fill our desires, only for each other.
Our bodies melt into each other fueled by our passion by our fruits
never to go away, what we learn now, we learn from each other.

I am so happy that you reviewed my writing Dave else i would not have found your beautiful poems.

Couples do learn to grow together on a long journey through life, some grow apart also , but those that stay together often mature into two halves becoming one whole essence.
