Pawn in play

Pawn in play

A Poem by Midnight_Mask

Within a dream, this will be so bold

But this is reality and she can't release his hold

Gleaming tears stream down warm cheeks

she feels so weak upon her feet.

As a horn breaks the silence

And a breeze causes the world to believe the sun is lying

With worry frowns creasing her beauty

He tears away.

Marching mounted upon a steed

She gropes for him as she pleads

With a gasp shes torn away

Held captive by gaurds who stay.

But war brought to a kingdom,

Must be banished

Even though it's hard to say

She fell in love with a pawn in play.
