I love you.

I love you.

A Poem by Sam
"

A simple dedication to my wonderful girlfriend Allison <3

"
I love you.
I love every little thing about you....
The way you smile-
Makes me weak in the knees

I'm so lucky to have you in my life
I will do anything for you
You're the love of my life

I would die for you...
I had 3 of my ribs broken...
My wrist fractured..
And the painful memory of the day that I was beaten senseless for being with you

Every time we kiss-
I feel like i'm flying
The way I feel..
When your skin touches my own..
Is a feeling I wish to never lose

I love you.
I love the look you have when you're sleeping

When we lay on the couch..
And my arm has finally fallen asleep-
Along with you, I'm dying to move it
But I don't because I don't want to risk waking you up.

I love you so much
I'll give you the world
If you'll let me

I'd give anything-
To spend the rest of my life with you.
I know I can't spend forever with you-
But I can settle for a life time.

I work so much-
So I can take you places...
And give you the gifts
That you truly deserve

You're the most beautiful..
Smartest, and amazing person..
I have ever met.

All our memories..
Are permanently etched inside my brain
And heart.

I will never leave you...
Alone nor scared.
I will kill you make sure you're safe

I will walk..
4 miles- in the middle of the night..
In the rain, wearing my pajamas
To see you....

All you have to do...
Is ask me...
And I'll be there in a heartbeat

I love you so much
My family's opinion of you...
Doesn't matter
Your family's opinion of me...
Doesn't matter

Nobody on this earth..
Can ever keep me from loving you.

You deserve eternal happiness
I hope to be the one to give that to you
I will do anything in my power to see you smile
I love you

Tonight, is the last night...
You will ever spend alone'.
I will walk to hell and back
Just to see you smile.

I still remember the day in the starbucks parking lot..
We slow danced in the rain,..
To the song "Lips on An Angel"
In front of 20+ people...
Darling- you've got the lips of an angel.

I will do everything in my power....
To make sure you're never hurt again.
I love you.

I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you..
I can't want to wake up to your gorgeous face every day...
I know that you will be the person I'm going to marry one day...
I wait for that day to come.

I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you.

I love you Allison.

I think the simplistic sincerity of your speech is what really brought the poem to life-- the simple, yet beautiful moments.

"When we lay on the couch..
And my arm has finally fallen asleep-
Along with you, I'm dying to move it
But I don't because I don't want to risk waking you up."

^^^like that. Apart from the good use of enjambments, I really liked this particular stanza because I could relate to it. Granted, I relate to poetry all the time, but I never actually appreciated the moment where I'm laying with my someone and don't want to move my arm for fear of him waking up. Your poem was somewhat of a catalyst to me seeing the beauty of it all, and allowing your readers to be able to take any sort of feeling from your work takes a commendable level of talent.

All in all, I liked the piece. Good write.

Agreed! Your voice is very evident in this and that's what gives it such a sincere tone. The moments you've chosen to highlight in evidence of your love were excellent as well - compelling, raw, and beautiful. Very romantic!

This is beautiful. It captures all the simple moments of a relationship that make everything real and worthwhile. It's also a very relatable piece.

the poem sags with the weight of responsibility. one person for another. that's heavy. can that weight be carried? the poem powerfully speaks to the emotional needs of one person for another.

My heart really started aching when I read this line. It's amazing how love is always just love, no matter what. This was perfect.
