Enfeebling

Enfeebling

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

What some do to others ... shameful!

"

Enfeebling

Relentless pounding

Into channels of her mind

Seep your scathing acts

That picture, your few words, express every letter in a thousand alphabets.

The scars left by physical abuse are an insult to the body, they hurt, they sting - yet inevitably fade. But, scars left by mental abuse are an abomination and, for many - bleed through every layer of skin till the heart near drowns in its own blood.

Finely, tragically expressed.

I believe mental abuse is the worst, because it needs much working and practicing to heal the mind, Your photo speaks louder than any words, and I feel her deeply... to make the one feel worthless is so damaging specially from those we love, because they have the control over us and might use it to weaken us, sure we are taking about the bad ones here :)

Like always, powerful words, thank You for sharing.

This poem hurts-literally and figuratively. The picture illustrates the destruction of a living soul who has suffered abuse. In so few damning words you imprint the "relentless...pounding..scathing" power of abuse on it's victims. So insidious, so criminal. Such an important poetic statement to foster awareness. Thank you my friend for writing this excellent poem.
