I know exactly what you mean, as far as the bubbling up of ideas from the depths. For me, listening to music will usually cause this to happen. I always have a notebook full of ideas to write about. But sometimes it's more exquisite to capture an idea the moment it is born & discipline myself to just write, right now! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

In this world we're obliged live in, surely we should each sleep in the world of dreams - whether due true or not. At least then we choose which dream to guide emotions, steer us into sonnet or what, dancing whichever steps are required to keep .. sane. Perhaps?

Wow! You provide us with beautiful awareness of the genesis of imagination in your words and image dear
Phill. A deeply profound and excellently written poem. Jung should be proud to accompany it. Yes, the thought rises and becomes light- superb.

Sometimes i think our poetic voices are a means of deeper communication as often they become a light in the darkness when they manifest spritual feelings..

Mmm... "To kindle a light in the darkness of being"

Lol I just picture us all walking through a cave with nothing but a torch looking about in wonder.

That torch is Art and the bearer the Artist.

This "cave" and this "darkness of being" are one and the same.

But obviously you already knew all this.

pretty deep pockets because i have no idea where anything i write comes from...no idea at all...it just listens to the muse and manifests on its own.
