Flight of the Heart.

 

Soaring high up in the clouds,

Never wanting to come down.

Wondering if there are limits

Before the ground it hits.

 

Seeing all there is to see,

Witnessing all the beauty.

Coming forth out of the dark,

Flight of the heart.

 

Reaching for the stars

With flaring arms,

Hoping to capture just one;

A dream finally sung.

 

Taking it all in,

Hoping it doesn’t end.
A sky-high work of art;

Flight of the heart.

 

The rain comes,

Nourishing what’s begun.

Washing over dreams in flight,

Feeling the power of their might.

 

Though the future unsteady,
And the rainbow unseen,

It dares to journey afar;

Flight of the heart.
