Fingers of Death

Fingers of Death

A Poem by Kristen
"

Inspired by the game "What Am I?".. guess what I'm describing in this poem!

"

Your quiet is stirring,

Causing unease among the dwellers.

The stillness, frighteningly tranquil,

Covering all that is known.

Your icy touch is frosty,

Bitter,

Unforgiving.

You encompass all,

But not everything endures.

Must we embrace

Your arms of beauty,

Attached to the fingers of death?

You're describing darkness and comparing it to death. Nice metaphor. I loved the write, it's going in my library, keep up the good work! :)

Darkness....I strongly feel like this is about darkness, it's so ugly, cold and disturbing. Yet we all learn to embrace its so called beauty

Personally i feel this poem is describing an eating disorder. But I could be wrong, it is just my interpretation.
