MUSIC

A Poem by Candle in the wind
"

Went for a music recital last evening, wrapped around the melody and felt so serene, the music seeped in.....

"

Music is a crystal stream with tinkling ripples
The sound of water lapping against the shores
Sometimes it reverberates and resonates
Strums the very chords of your being
Is like a turbulent sea
It is gentle breeze wafting melodies
Or a raging storm with flashes of lightening
Rumbling thunder or gentle rhythm
It can be a soothing caress, a healing touch
An embodiment of serenity
A placid blue sky
Then again a singing bird
Or a wandering minstrel
Enchanting your thoughts and dreams
It seeps within and plays inside
The lilting tunes sooth your soul
The lyrics invoke myriad moods
Echo your emotions or memories
Music submerges your being
It has cosmic grandeur
Or a quiet solitude
Simple notes or a magnificent symphony
Swaying masses or cocooning privacy
Creates tranquil delight or crazy fervor
Evokes nostalgia, unleashes tears
Makes your spirit dance
Awakens your soul or induces slumber
Makes or breaks silence
It is for serenading, celebrating, dedicating, meditating
Connecting surpassing boundaries
Transcending language and culture
Music is solace

Music has a way of doing thing to the heart and soul that nothing else is capable of. Feeling the power of the melody is such a wonderful experience to partake of. Allowing the music itself guide and lead you to the place within yourself that is both needed and desired so completely. I really enjoyed your words as they gave me such wonderful thoughts and feelings.

Great Job!!!!!!

Nicely done, very moving. One thing: try to avoide the word 'sometimes', especially in repetition. It takes away from the lyrical, delicate poem with the abject commonality of the trite and vague. Keep up the pen, for in your grasp it has meaning.

Terrific ending. It's tough to put music into words, but you've done a nice job. Thanks for sharing!

It certainly is solace...It seeps within and plays inside, great thought right there! Your summation of the effect of music on the human heart, mind and soul is so true. This is a lilting/lyrical piece with wonderful connotations within your choice of words, such as; tranquility, healing and transcending...
I loved it because it is a calm read filled with joyful content...Kudos on this one, I can only imagine the work that went into writing it...

Beautiful!
I am a firm believer that music, next to writing (of course) is one of the most powerful mediums in the world today. Just like you described so perfectly on top, music can evoke so many different emotions and stuff.

Brilliantly written and oh wow, your imagery was truly a treat for the senses!
