Last night, beside me
there you lay,
across the bed
in disarray.

I'd kissed your lips,
I must confess …
slipped-in beneath
thy evening dress.

In passion’s quest,
such beauty fair,
caressed your breasts
with tender care.

Imploring eyes
smiled up at me,
whisp’ring my name …
“I’m yours, I’m free.”

My heart, it sighed,
nightingales sang,
as all around
love's windchimes rang.

Still, when the morn
oped soft mine eyes,
remained sweet splendor
of thy thighs.

Stirring, I stretch’t
with arms spread wide …
your beguiling voice,
e’er deep inside.

Thence, took that world
where lovelight streams
those fields of golden daffodils,
we strolled in lovers' lofty dreams.

Now, as I write, my olde pen smiles,
ink flowing gold and free …
pondering, how when we met,

your sweet love first touched me.

Such a nostalgic and sensual poem, Richard.

Your love and passion for her is evident in the way that you've penned this piece. How lucky she is, that you cherish her to the depths of your soul, and keep the memory of this moment alive.

Beautiful!

Your words are manipulative to my heart. I do not have a choice but to respond to their warmth.

Richard, a beautiful affirmation of your love for your lover. Great flow and imagery. Words that I would share with my love, they are so beautiful and loving. Well done and it always makes me smile in my heart when I see someone like me that truly has undying love for there partner in life. Thank you for your beautiful work.

Real or not, I know the words are truly the one you would share with your love.

Ok now! Steamy Richard. I must confess I enjoyed the experience of the read.
You are blessed with poetic talent and I find your expressions vivid and vague all at once. Like viewing a Monet...
I lost the feel of the meter in the last few stanzas. Did you intend to shift the meter and throw the reader out of the trance you so naturally led me into?
Just a question and a discomfort, but no less of a joy to read.

This, Richard, was a masterful love poem! Flowing, sensual, titillating and tasteful. Such a pleasure to read as it stimulates your imagination and emotions. One is given just enough but not too much, and I think it's just perfect, you start in the moment, but end up by looking back, likening the past to a wonderful dream. How truly this poem resonates!

Oh. My. Goodness. I had to take a deep breath and sigh after reading this you. You really took me there Richard. I'm speechless. This poem touched my soul...it went deeper then most poetry with each stroke of you pen....hahaha that was my attempt to respond in the same wavelength of your poem. I"m truly speechless, but I"m MOVED. What a great poet you are....the more poem I read from you I ponder why aren't you at the same level as Maya Angelou and Langston Hughes. Your poetry is as powerful. Beautiful piece. Be blessed. Kim
