So close and so far

The title say's it all

Looking through the window shades, hoping to see a sign from God that I will see your face as the stars shine above my head, if they all decided to fall ad I got a million wishes they would never be enough to say.

How can I feel so close to a moment that feels a million miles away? To almost feel your touch in the palm of my hand only to be let go… So close and so far.

I often wonder what would be if you could only see. What two different worlds and hearts could bring, just might be a beautiful thing. To see the smile in your pretty green eyes and to know its because of me.

To have your hand fit perfectly in mine and to feel safe inside your arms. How close I feel to this moment that may never come. Standing near a wishing well echoing my dreams, to have you so near to my heart but you can’t see.

How can I feel that you’re so close and so far? To watch myself have to walk away wondering if we would meet again, it would be all up to faith. Each time my head tells me to walk my heart tells me to stay.

When I think of you, it’s like a poets dream. I hear a song form in my heart and it gets stuck in my head.  My heart beats like a drum whenever I think, could it be me? How I’m awake up past midnight just to write down the words I’d only wish to say.

I’m always praying for the day… that everything I've gone through was to be ready to meet you. To see that you’re the one wish that did come true as the stars fell down. And when you eyes look back at mine you’d know; you’re everything I've been waiting for. You’re my fairy tale come true.

I may not  know if this is true, but till then I’m keeping my faith as I’m still looking through the window shades, waiting for the day when I get my chance to have you look my way. Are you closer than you seem or still so far away?

Author's Note

This poem was kind of one of those moments where you feel so close to come thing and at the very same time you feel so far away. Although you know eventually you will see a bigger picture, sometime you need to take the time to step back to really see :)

This was refreshing for me personally to read. In a world that now largely considers this a phrase uttered or felt when financial or material goals fall short, it's a nice reminder that the true romantics are still out there and serve as the gatekeepers of the only real magic left in life.

Haha no, not a online love interest :) I am not really into that (Nothing wrong with it but I personally don't feel comfortable) I can say more of a distant love like; far away, so close in time to the moments you might meet but still feels so far our of reach ;) thank kind haha
