let me be the cause, not you

let me be the cause, not you

A Poem by Lokesh

if it is me who leaves you,
let that be,
i can face that;
but if it is you who leaves me,
let that not be,
i can’t face that.
you are an angel
that glows in beauty and innocence.
you are a girl
that loves with reasons the mind can’t reason.
you have a perfect image,
pure, serene and heavenly in me.
i don’t want what i have for you
to be soiled and polluted.
so if parting be our fate,
let me be the cause, not you.

I like the desire of the poem. Sometime better to leave true beauty alone when our desire is to take and run. I like the thoughts and the closing lines. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
