Crimson Warrior

Crimson Warrior

A Poem by PoeticVandal
"

They say war and battle is glorious. What do u think? This is my view.

"
Beaten,bloody, battered and still
In a crimson pool he lies, his strength is spent
O' look yonder lies his scarlet blade
Adorned with the gore of his many a kill
O' how many like him have come and went
Who with blood honour the allegiance they've made
In the end nothing comes of their might and skill
For in death's face they too must relent
Its true songs and hymns of their glory are played
But they are too far gone to feel its thrill

In his last moments honour and glory have no sway
As he lies still and life slowly slips away......

Nothing is glorious about war... I know what I am talking about!
Nice piece!

This is a brilliant poem! I loved the way you presented the poem, it was classic.

And like you, I'm on the soldier's side too! :)

the meaninglessness and emptiness of a life full of bloodshed and war..... the last 2 lines are very gripping! i like the title too"Crimson Warrior" - its got a ring to it and its kind of ironic too.
