A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

Lonely snowflakes
are gossiping on my numb skin
I needed some space
so I bought a truckload
trying to find peace
on the other side of nowhere
My resistance always thawed
when your buzzing eyes
crept under my eyelids
so I needed, urgently
to put my heart on ice
and find a place
where I'd not
second guess
my runaway
heart.
Please water my cactus
only if you want to
who knows
it may just outlive me
if it does
put it on my grave -
it will live on dew,
and you'll never
have to visit.

I thoroughly enjoyed these words of yours & particularly liked the last verse which I thought was like twisting the blade when it was up to the hilt................N

The poem danced on many subjects. I enjoyed the honest tone and the ending. I wanted to read and know more. The ending was perfect and thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

I worried a bit whether the last verse sounded a bit odd......thanks for the encouragement.....

I liked the ending. left reader with a solid ending. You are welcome.
I thankfully won't have any grave ...if I die...I may just turn to ashes and get lost in the nature...
Nice poem...
