It Starts

Lets start with GUNS!

Its starts with WARS!!

It'll never reeally end with

PEACE!

HAPPINESS!

 

Somehow Johnny never

came back home

His head is gone

Coffin is closed

HIs mom screams far too long

for her already dead son

 

It starts with ANGER!

It starts with PAIN!

It'll never reeally end with

LOVE!!

GOOD!

 

For a soldier

life is hard

He might leave a child

Fatherless!!

Or his wife

Widowless!!

But love is better than hate!

And he'll always come

HOME!

Widowless should be widowed. But the rest of this poem packs a large punch and should stop and make us think about how hard it is for a soldier and for their family. This poem hits on many deep issues and is tastefully done.

Love usually creates hate, better to avoid it in most cases for me.
