Your Reign is OverA Poem by ToriSchrodiDon't think I don't see what you're doing. You see me pulling away. You see my spirit straining to escape. Don't think I don't see what you're doing. Trying to erase the damage you did. Trying to keep me here for you to control. Don't think I don't see what you're doing. Trying to use kindness to make me want to stay. Trying to use guilt to trap me. But don't you see? Don't you see it's too late? My soul is ready. My soul is ready to leave Don't you see it's too late? You cut too deep. You cut my soul to ribbons. Don't you see it's too late? My soul has healed. My soul remembers what you did. My soul remembers what you said. So here is what I say. No more. No more will you live through me. No more will I let you control me. So here is what I say. You are done making me do things because you never got to. You are done treating my like a fragile glass figure that you get to display on your shelf. I am my own person. I do not fit your mold. I will never by good enough in your eyes. I am okay with that. I am my own person. My soul is strong. My soul will run wild. Your reign... is over.
