Breathing the Sky

Breathing the Sky

A Poem by UC Poika
"

Lover calling upon his love to join him

"

Take a bit of sky into your lungs

Let it out and let it fly back to be sky

Close your eyes and imagine eagle tongues

Tasting your breathing and kissing your I . . .

Take a lot of my I into your heart

Share your lot with me and set mine free

Let our secrets be our most precious part,

Lay down your selfishnesses, cover me . . .

Dig their filth from my ears wash them with acid

Wash away my loneliness with your face

Count my cries and build a pyramid

And bury our foolish prides in that place

Distract my attentions from all other goals

Burn my passions on your pyre but save our souls.
