Poetry Problems

I must write a poem; what shall I do?

I toil and labor and work all day,

But I don’t know how! I haven’t a clue!

Yet I sit here immured and cannot stray.

Really and truly I’m trying my best,

My pejorative teacher forcing me,

But I am a student, who cannot rest…

…And that’s why my homework is late, you see.

Ha. I've had this problem quite a lot as well. So does my friend, this kind of reminds me of her writing style, she writes about not being able to write. Iambic pentameter kills me, I died having to write sonnets. I like this, I laughed a bit. :P

Thanks for the reviews, guys! You all made me feel so nice!
Could anybody who reads this comment also read and give a review on my other piece of writing "An Average Man'"? I don't have any money to advertise with, so this is pretty much my advertisement. I would really appreciate some comments. Thanks.

I figure pretty much every student can relate to this.
Haha, I like it. Its funny. I wasn't quite getting the flow at first, but I see it now. I hadn't heard of iambic pentameter before. I had to look it up. And I call myself a poet? (blush)

Basically, you just need 10 syllables in every line. It's not that hard.
