March Ahead

March Ahead

A Poem by Chirag Kumar

Gloomy scenes everywhere
Spirits down with despair
Scars seem beyond repair
Life is just not fair.
Troubles running hell loose
Mind plagued with nervous issues
No sign of peace or truce
Life tightening the pressure screws.
But you need to take a chill pill
coz time wont act as per your will
might be difficult but be relaxed
you 're looking way too much taxed.

But nail this thing in your mind
that this world wont be kind
you need to put that baggage behind
and march ahead determined.

 You're losing your precious moments
The moments in which you can smile
and enjoy the freedom every while
while keeping your problems at bay
breaking the cocoon of dismay.
Feel the feeling of being liberated
and watch the euphoria within unabated.

So be unabashed and march ahead
For many such battles you shall head
where you'll face the demons and curse them
get loads of wounds and nurse them.
Realise that the time is now
Forget the past and rise somehow
Wake up from the sleep of sorrow
and march ahead towards a bright tomorrow...

Forget the past and rise somehow
Wake up from the sleep of sorrow
and march ahead towards a bright tomorrow...
No matter how life shows you its bitter side you can always learn from it and kill the sufferings with your strong will, courage and your sweetness. :) Good one Chirag. Life goes on...

The poem is so inspiring! It is a lesson on how to live and a very good one at that! :)

It speaks plainly and clearly:
''Life is just not fair.''
''No sign of peace or truce
Life tightening the pressure screws.''
It counsels:
''But you need to take a chill pill
coz time wont act as per your will''

It admonishes:
''But nail this thing in your mind
that this world wont be kind''

It inspires:
''So be unabashed and march ahead
For many such battles you shall head''

Finally, it holds the promise for following what you say in the rest of the poem:
''Wake up from the sleep of sorrow
and march ahead towards a bright tomorrow...''

An excellent job! Keep up the good work! :)

Thanks for your kind review friend :)
This is a great piece because I like the idealism even though it talks about problems, because it all points to the hope we always will have when we believe in a brighter future.
