Don't we all wonder if another is the one for whom we were meant?
How many lifetimes must we pass by before our soul finds it's hearts desire?
This was for the green eyes cased in Honey Hue, that I once knew.
May she find this dream to be her own .

Great period piece Tate and holding to that 40's kind of tone the photo starts and pulls our eye, to the mood of your presented music. As the words roll out. I really savoured this read as well, as my parents met right after WW II, my Dad having served in Italy as a motorcycle messenger. Training in Vernon my home town in 43 then Britain for Biker Deal.
Like the poem Flanders field, is powerful. Brings to mind for me, in Canada we have Rememberance Day for Canada's lost Veterns... 'Lest we Forget'. A period of time we should not forget and here, you remind us. This plays well in a genuine way, that really. Is a Tate Morgan signature.
As Always Write On / Right on! Ro... Peace my Poet Brother.
This is how I felt for a long time before I met my wonderful Eric. I had met him a few times in the bars we went to to play music. I knew I loved him, but I did not think he would ever notice me. Then one day he came to my mom's ranch for our summer jams. After that, he came every week...and now we are going to be married. But I suppose I will never truly know how it feels. Anyway, I just want you to know how much I enjoyed reading this poem. As with all the others I have read as of yet, I found no mistakes. It is simply perfect!
I could not view the image. But I liked the poem it its entirety. It rings true on a very empathetic and sentimental level with me. Thanks for sharing.
Beautifully written, I have often wondered this myself, did the one pass me by one day without me noticing? The idea of a soul mate is, I think, loves greatest desire.
Oh that fleeting glimpse.
I can only imagine how many lifetimes pass, where she's taken my order at the drive thru,
or maybe managed my shipping and handling.
Somewhere, there's a soul's counterbalance. That's truth.
Although it's also to be thought divine, should these weights ever actually cross paths.
This is a wonderful piece of writing exploring the what if's that cross all of our minds now and again. At times we can only hope that we do find these answers and at times we can only hope they perhaps they will find us.
"Are we destined to always be
just passing strangers in the night
Whose ebbing flowing tides of love
never met when the time was right"
That's my favorite. Speaks to me personally. I love it.
This carries such sentiment with it, should be a love song...I often wonder if we have more than one soul mate in this world, and or if we've passed them by some time during our lives...food for thought, lovely, just exquisite. It's a perfect write.
This piece is amazing, i have often had siimlar thoughts about the lives we leave on touched on ur day to day journeys, merely by a mis-matched time. I was sitting here the whole way through this feeling ever sentance , so briliantly and wonderfully described.
This is absolutely beautiful! And yes I do wonder if I pass the "one" walking by. I also wonder if there can be more than one soul mate for a person. I had a soul mate early in my life, we grew up together and shared many things that seemed to span a life time of love, sorrow and life. And he passed away, when he did I felt as if a piece of my soul went with him. He knew me better than anyone on earth. Yet I have to believe that there is another, out there - somewhere, maybe as you say passing by, a friend, or someone who doesn't know yet.
I love this piece because it reminds me of a time set back long ago, and the picture you have to go along with it, fits perfectly. I do crave the memories of one, one true love. Thank you for sending this to me. Also love the song.
