Yesterday

Yesterday

A Poem by Drako

gave you the benefit of the doubt
until you showed what you're about
your words couldn't hide the scent
of the fragrance i can't recognize
i'm done with this feeling like an idiot

funny how when i'm gone
you realize it's all your fault
don't you realize you had a time machine
to go back and change history?
that's the only way you can be with me

you hung yourself
i'm so over this loving you
i just don't love you anymore

you are so yesterday
i won't let you rain on my parade
i don't want to hear a thing you say

now you want to reminisce
you say you want to try again
i never want see you
never want to feel you
never want to hear you
i don't want you
don't need you
can't stand you
you are just so yesterday

Great line. Loved the poem, it brought back a lot of repressed crap. It's honest and it speaks from the heart. :)

Breaking up is horrible, but it's best to let something go that can't be fixed and to move on. I really like this poem, it's right to the point and honest. Well done. :)
