There Is Life After Failure..

There Is Life After Failure..

A Poem by Caleb Benton

There is Life after Failure.
Forgiveness for past Mistake.
Light to illuminate the Dark.
Guidance for Those long lost.
There is Triumph over Death.
Atonement for shameful Sin.
Paths cut through the Rough.
The Way in which We are found.
A Beginning after The End.
New Birth following slow Decay.
Steel tempered by painful Flame.
A Phoenix risen from ashen Ruin.
Awakening from age-long Slumber.
Opening of both Eyes and Mind.
There is still Time after this Time.
Future always triumphant over Past.

Life in the barest, most vitally/subtly encompassing sense is utterly free of success/failure, death, all qualifications. Life is not the opposite of death. Birth is the opposite of death. Life is always already triumphant. "Steel tempered by painful Flame./A Phoenix risen from ashen Ruin." Strong lines. Because Life is more than its apparent forms.

I had to go back and read some of my brother's poetry. I feel inspired when I see your pen on paper. "New birth following slow decay"....wow. What a powerful line!
