Garden of Memories

Garden of Memories

A Poem by Carissa Marie
"

I dare you to take a peek into my life. :)

"

I invite you to take a peek into my garden of memories.
To take a look into this mystery called my life.
Where everything you see has a story to tell.
From how the tiniest of my teardrop came to be,
To how they formed into something that I now call ME.
Pick a flower from my garden of memories,
For every beautiful thing is but a pretentious armor of my being.
Take a sip from my stream of tears,
To have a glimpse of the thousand heartaches that I bear.
Feel the treacherous wind flowing so calmly from my world,
And brace yourself for the storm that it will unleash.
For not everything you see in me is real,
But a mask that has allowed me to save you
from the horrors that my life would reveal.

But before you peek into my life, I say
Once you enter my garden of memories,
You cannot go away.
For whoever takes a look into my life
Would take a piece of me,
And those who holds a slice of my heart
Are forever bound to stay.

It always leaves me awestruck how deep each human being is, it's like we're seperate universes unto ourselves.
You've got a unique way of writing, I love it!
For whoever takes a look into my life

Would take a piece of me,

And those who holds a slice of my heart

Are forever bound to stay.
Love these lines the best!!!

Thanks so much! Im glad you liked it. :)
This is really very well-done. You have a clear, distinct message coupled with a clear, distinct image, and the combination is striking. Some of your word choice seems a little overwrought in places, but either way, well done.

Wow, the last two lines are powerful. It's true that whenever anyone really gets close to us and comes to know us that they are forever bound to us no matter what happens. I liked how you used the garden. It was a good analogy for me.

Thank you! Youre too kind. :)
Your garden seems to bloom of pain, yet know, springtime will come and the scents of beautiful flowers will fill your world. Very nice.
