White flag

When you are the only one fighting for a relationship, It is best to just throw the white flag. :)

I surrender my love

For I have lost the fight.

I lost myself in the battle.

I got so bruised,

I got so tired,

I was badly hurt.

I picked up the pieces

Of what was left of me.

I crawled,

Slowly and painfully

Til I could lift my self up.

Every step,

A punishing horror.

But every single step

Is a step to freedom.

So I kept pushing on,

Never looking back.

I know that,

Throwing the white flag

Was the best decision

For both of us.

Yes, sometimes its a reasonable and rational decision to throw the white flag. Moving on is the best option. But the pain, the white hot pain is another matter!
