Hopelessly Addicted to Writer's Cafe

Hopelessly Addicted to Writer's Cafe

A Poem by Carole

I never thought I’d see the day

I’m hopelessly addicted to the Writer’s Café

In the short time they were maintaining the sight

I whined all day and I whined all night

Massive withdrawals from my cyberspace friends

And all of the reviews on which I have grown to depend

There’s Chloe with a heart as big as the Texas sky

And Phil Oz O’fee, a genuinely nice guy

There’s an Ordinary Woman and Crystal Test

Helen from Australia-she’s the best

Joyce Bocek, the first reviewer of my writing

Fabian, the connoisseur at sword fighting

Mark Simmons, Blackbirdsong, & Carla Marie

Julian with a vocabulary as expansive as the sea

Sherrian, Tomas, A.K., and T. L. O’neal

Gary Gregory-retired air force-authentic & real

James Blaylock & Alicia Lafontaine

Gypsy Butterfly & Rodney Ray

Valentine, Krystal Waters & Armon Badill

All powerful writers behind the quill

You’ve all touched my life in one way or another

A quaint sense of family like sisters and brothers

Writer’s Cafe-a place for each one of us to grow & to bond

A happy family of writers of whom I have become quite fond.

I too have become addicted. My other addiction is a game I play It is called TriPeaks, http://www.therhogue.com/tripeaks/phps.php3
I play as howhighcanigo. I also play as hereicome, with an average of 63 points which is too high to be placed on the global list.

awww...you said it , friend. I was lost too. I didn't realize I had made such a connection with this site...just goes to show you don't know what ya got till it's gone. Very clever. Sing-song rhythm, and a good subject!

Carole, your poem is beautiful, and thank you for including me in it. I feel the same way about Writer's Cafe. "A quaint sense of family like sisters and brothers," truly sums it up for me. Thank you!

Oh my goodness, I loved this! And I feel so honored to be part of it. :) I have to admit, they were doing maintenace again tonight and I do actually feel withdrawals! It's crazy, right? Just goes to show we are all truly bonded, as you say.

Its a strange world we live in. When I read this and saw my mention, it dawned on me; I had more friends on the Writers Caf site, then in my hard copy personal phone book.

Just proves that a great bunch of like minded individuals can make a difference in each others lives - even if the contact is only aesthetically based.

Thank you Carole for being you and part of our 'growing familiy'!

Gods Blessing
Phillozofee
