Searching for love

Been feeling super lonely lately... wish I had that special someone to spend this time with.

I sit here all alone wishing I wasn’t

I want someone to love me

I wouldn’t say I’m hard to love

Just take the time to understand me

 

I’m miles away from being perfect

Perfection is just a goal never met

My heart has a lot of love to give

The right woman hasn’t arrived yet

 

Someday she will reveal herself

I will reach out for my queen

The beauty that her mind and soul possess

Is unlike any beauty that I have ever seen

 

To hold and kiss her softly

Is more than a dream come true

It is a love dreamt over and over again

A love sent from above, pure and true

This is beautiful, I too feel alone. This was so real. I didn't feel alone anymore as I read it, I like how starting off went from what seemed like a sad mood to bringing hope in your situation. you did not just leave it as, (I'm alone, etc) it went to ( I know she is out there) .. some people lose hope, I have. But in reading this to be able to give someone hope through your words, is a very powerful gift.. love this Aaron

Brother as you know, I'm in the same boat! Here is the thing, we are single
cause we're good guys, now the ladies say they want a guy like us, but not true
because here we are! They want a bad boy, someone that will
treat them terrible, cheat on them and all kinds of other horrific
things, so they can call there girl friends and bicker day in and day
out, and write feel sorry for me poems for years! Let's be honest brother
I'm not talking about all of them, but the majority truly have no idea
what they want:( but they sure think they do! Anyways great piece stay
patient and humble, and all in due time the good Lord will provide

I hear ya bro! It's that devils temptation that gets the best of some people such as those wanting the bad guys... it's meant for us to find someone on the right path. I have to disagree with James. Someone sounds a bit bitter.. However, I know what I want, but there comes times when "the nice guy" is presented but something gets in the way i.e distance, bad timing, etc. I also know that there are girls like me, who have been cheated on & we're terrified. Even if you tell us over and over that you're a "nice guy" we're still leery..
Not all of us like to call our "girlfriends" & bicker. I have no girlfriends to call.. Lol. & as for writing "feel sorry for me" poems, what exactly do you call you're "I'm lonely" pieces.. Sorry but the bitter tone and condescendment of women, made me a little angry. don't assume you know everyone!

There are women with low self esteem that fall into that bucket and it's sad but most women just want to be loved. Shame on you!

haha I don't think James was trying to lump all women into one category but I understood what he meant. There are times where you have a friend or someone you know whom who connect with and you know you could be so happy together yet she chooses to be unhappy and in an unhealthy relationship. Or she wants someone a little more on the dangerous side... I don't think James is bitter at all just an honest view on "some" women that may have come across in life. Finding the good ones is the hard part :) You know we love you Ashley and Miss AKA Lillith :)
