just one feather

just one feather

A Poem by An owl on the moon
"

for those who long for more than what we see…

"

Scanning the sky for angel wings

and other wispy sacred things

to see beyond what life can bring

or cry and for my days I cling…

More than dust or caustic wind

more than fragile bones to mend

such dreams my heart longs to transcend

from frosted feelings I ascend…

In nineteen worlds beyond compare

I sense ten thousand hallowed stairs

to take me far beyond despair

astride a weeping silver mare…

One tranquil day I wish to see

beyond fragmented tapestries

in a world beyond the golden tree

just one feather…

The wish to be taken " far beyond despair..." rings a bell in in everyone's ear in a time when all is gloom and doom. This piece gives hope to all who are caught in the 'Trap' of this pandemic. profound piece Patricia

dear Owl... this is the most translucent poem
I have ever read... a keeper in my heart... I believe.
My favorite line, "astride a weeping silver mare".
"In a world beyond the golden tree. just one feather".
The entire poem is hopeful beyond compare. truly, Pat

Mesmerizing piece my friend, totally just sucks you in and doesn't spit you out until 3 mins after you've finished reading it, and then its ever so gentle. Your words blend together like a perfect whipping cream to top off a cake. And wow seriously love it. Fantastic job Craig, never cease to impress.

If one sits quietly observing the world, one never knows what can be seen...maybe an angel feather will fall from the sky and we will see that the angels have been with us all along...a beautiful poem.

I love this poem just one feather, I will read it several times I wanted to become as light as that feather, and drift far beyond this Earth plane, to experience the peace and beauty of the universe as a whole, as we all will one day, thankyou Craig, I really enjoyed reading your poem, Moonbeam.

This is such a beautiful, beautiful poem. It holds incredibly delicate thoughts. Seems you understand what's in and out of bodily life on earth; seems you accept the stepping out of into that other place with utter contentment.

An exquisite piece of writing, dear friend.
