Shotgun Sally is a reality pistol 

Firing blanks,

But still knocks all the

Action stars dead

With just one take.

Just a harlot with a heart

Of magnesium

She sets the set on fire

To keep her role

On the cutting room floor

Until the plot is revealed.

Then when the audience claps

Before the end credits

She can take credit

For the sequel that blows up

Tinsel town into a low budget film.

It's like an assembly line, isn't it. A do it by the numbers (well, the box office,) flicker frame imaginary world that so many foolishly aspire to.

I'd rather have the reality of Shotgun Sally anytime.

Your imagery rocks, as we envisage Sally straddling the line, firing from both hips. “Just a harlot with a heart of magnesium”- inspired by Monroe, Mansfield, Harlow...Annie Get Your Gun- and blow up the joint. B&W reels spinning celluloid. ‘I’m ready for my closeup now Mr. DeMille”- Boom. Love it.
