~Period.

~Period.

A Poem by Frieda P

Last time I saw you, you were zoetic
we take life's every day nuances for granted
you dug us both a grave with your last breath
memories keep you alive in your absence
your face only visible within a photograph
there is no sense of touch or grasp of poetry
a period           at the end of your sentence
halted dead in its last tearful stanza
all musical tracks mute by eradication

The loss of someone you love is hard to deal with. This is such a powerful write. Although they are gone, and we're in pain we still relive those memories, we still have all those amazing memories that we can look back on. I loved the title. This whole write was absolutely amazing!

Yet another of your wonderful poems. And, as always with the same wonderment of words. You have a natural gift for placing thoughts in a subtle yet powerful manner, always understandable, always descriptive. There's such a sad sense of finality here.. hence i guess, the title of your post. '.. a period at the end of your sentence ~ halted dead in its last tearful stanza ~ all musical tracks mute by eradication .. '

Sad, but written so well, you don't want it to end. Period.

Thanks my friend.
Almost everything has a finality. To have such loss and memory is like a grave its own. You wrote the emotion very well, it seeps into the heart of compassion.

Thanks Rebecca, much appreciated.
The first thing that caught my interest is the cover art for "And We Are Bled Of Color" on your concept art.
Listening to the voices of the spirit go mute, or perhaps you've gone deaf? Either way, the affair in its own is truly saddening. You speak your mind well.

Only their old stuff. Secret and Whisper doesn't have the same style anymore.
A stabbing piece that pierces the heart and mind and we dwell in both, well done.

Dwelling in both is the hard part, yes. Thanks Thomas.
Sad and emotive . I hope the period is just to stop and proceed to the next destination...:)

Aww sweetie...you capture the finality of loss so perfectly. It is much like the final stanza of a bittersweet poem. And the last few lines linger with us always.. x
