~In This Moment...

~In This Moment...

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Inspired by another lovely piece of *Star's artwork.

"
I breathe, my world expands in this moment
most days I find myself in utter puzzlement
of broken pieces that hardly fit the scene
the beauty that surrounds me is vastly
                   different from my view,
poppies can twist to opium seeds in turn
A sheer moment in time I realize there's beauty,
that is every single thing we do and see
I hear the dance in so many different styles
even pain is a study in it's own mysterious way
I breathe in this precious moment of clarity,
hopeful to revisit it some dark & dismal day

The difference between viewing something through a magnifiying glass or through cut glass - the different facets change perspective and sometimes provide more clarity.
Nicely done. Thank you for sharing this.

"Life is a choice....make it what you will"

I love this one Frieda.
Life is full of termoil and bad times but we must embrace the good too and allow us time to live.

I guess this goes back to the adage that you can't know what good is unless you've experienced the bad...this strikes me as a bit of a departure for you...a great deal of what you write is introspective, but this one is different...it's about you and you only, kind of like a soliloquy...sterling work my dear :)

The Power of Now indeed, Eckart needed an entire book to explain what you have stated with succinctness. Love the last two lines. These moments of clarity are often all I have to hold onto in darker times.

We can learn from pain just as much as joy. Pain isnt all bad, sometimes its there to remind us beautiful things are to be treasured.

"even pain is a study in it's own mysterious way..." - that's a very philosophical viewpoint Frieda and its employ will stand you in good stead. Its great that these moments of clarity are available so that the pressure can be released - if only momentarily.
Brilliant writing - very relate-able at this time too

This is so beautiful, a nice read for me especially after getting back on WC, this is so true, there is beauty in every single thing we do. thanx Frieda for reminding us about the beauty around us.

Me too Leslie, me too, that's why moments speak volumes, thanks so much.
'I breathe . . . my world expands in this moment.' I feel as though you are moving the reader through a tangible wave upon which each single word is markedly touched, like passing clouds we grace, through your typical style and color. The analogies are of high quality in this particular piece, because they suit the subject matter so well. You are conveying in essence, a images that pass by, and while carried upon this wind, we watch it flow. It also provides two analytical perspectives on life, and ways to view it. Your words are an interesting study of our human penchant- it is very relative.
