~~Hypnotic trance

~~Hypnotic trance

A Poem by Frieda P
"

Voodoo that you do...a silly love scribble.

"

voodoo that you do do do

made me fall in love with you

a madman of sorts no doubt

you go in and out of tune

jinx'd in a soulful rendition

   enchanted curse of alchemy's diablerie

hypnotic trance of prismatic spells

      still, can't resist your insanity

a work in progressive iniquity

            you make my teapot whistle

soft underbelly of desires

      twisted in french knot'd sighs

your music rocks my soul

a cool tempo of red light's sizzle

playing in deviltry's playground

was never a kinder flaming flaw

heart's on fire when you reign in my mind

I am hypnotized by your poem this morning my sweet friend. You have cast a spell over me and I could not be happier. I honestly do find it hard to believe that when I come to your world I find a poem that is better than the last, when so many times in the past I have read your work and thought, "There is no way she can top this one," you always prove me wrong.

This poem with its voodoo vibe is a little dark, but a little dark love is good for the soul. You lift me and spin me around until I are happily dizzy and then you come along swinging that silver watch back and forth before my eyes until I am in a trance...under your spell...hypnotized. Just don't make me act like a chicken...please?

Ooooooh...I have to agree with Jack, Frieda! You keep on surprising me with your work, and I never know what to expect next! This piece, especially, is very song-like, which I love about it.

And as always, I have some favorite lines, in particular "enchanted curse of alchemy's diablerie," and "a work in progressive iniquity/you make my teapot whistle." It's so very bluesy, almost New Orleans-influenced in the way I hear it.

Did you envision it having some kind of melody when you wrote it? Because that seems only appropriate. Oh, and I loved Jack's partner piece to this as well.

Give me a minute until I am back to my Noodley self to write a proper review because right now I am sitting here hypnotized by this amazing, outstanding poem. I agree with everything Jacko said, minus the chicken thingy, aha. ;-) xo

It was my pleasure. :)
Like Rasputin, The Marcus d'Sade even Hanible Lecter, they all had one thing in common apart from their dark side, the ladies found them iresstible!

Darkly delectable Frieda!

Ahh Hannibal was pretty appealing if he didn't feast on you for dinner, thanks Tom !
A very smooth flowing poem that when you drink the words down you can get intoxicated on the creative sentiment.
