Sweet surrender ~

Sweet surrender ~

A Poem by Frieda P

in poetry

"
Poetry_words that wrap around the senses of sentiments in motion_ poetry.

Aim'd at the heart
 sacrificed within soul
       seducing the mind,
 dipped in reflective
   recollections of
        inquiring eyes
shared as broken bread
   sipped as fine wine
redirected inky flow within
   acquaintance interconnections
surging through inspired veins of
   perception's emancipation
rendering  knowledge in
    fact, fiction or folly's
 familiarity,
       fantasies written in skywriting's
                 high voltage ecstasy
insight unto human nature's
   inkind appreciation offered,
  proclamations of good will
            & infinite spirited possibilities

Sweet surrender in poetry

All of these things are poetry...every last one. And it is utter bliss to surrender within them! You my friend are a master of wrapping words in so many fabulous ways. We read your poetry and sigh, cry, scream and dream because we are transported beyond the screen we sit in front of!! I love this one...xo

Earth, Wind and Fire... nice.

OK - back to the poem. I think every one on this site and for that matter, every poet can relate to this. It's almost a tribute to where the mind and the imagination can take you when you surrender yourself to the pen and it's limitless possibilities, whether it be fact or fiction.

Your pen is priceless.

sipped as fine wine...

And what a feast it is, Frieda... This is wonderful. Saving it to lift me up when I need a boost...
