So, I Looked

So, I Looked

A Poem by Ghost

So, I Looked

When you thought I wasn't looking,

I saw the little things you did for me, out of love,

Slipping me a kiss in the middle of the night, when you thought I was asleep,

Or leaving me little notes in my lunch for work.

When you thought I wasn't looking,

I saw the path of clothes, leading down the hallway to you,

Or how you bite your fingers when you’re nervous,

And the way you would sneak chocolate to soothe all fears.

When you thought I wasn't looking,

I saw the way you played with your hair,

How you would shake and move to the beat of a good song,

Even noticed how you blush when I told you something sweet.

When you thought I wasn't looking,

I saw the way you melted when it came to cute adorable animals,

The smile you got when I wrapped you in a hug,

I want to know the woman in you so, I looked....

This is a great little seductive poem! I love the interplay between shyness & boldness, as your message goes along, gathering courage, & finally making a move at the end. I love it when a writer uses real-life details to make a love poem sound more original (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Beautiful love showed here- so special when someone takes note of the small things- I love it when you love someone so much but can’t say it in the beginning and kiss them and whisper it when they sleep- true love , wonderful words🌹

That is beautifully sweet. We should all be this way, appreciate the gift of another mans daughter and cherish her every bit as much as he did

Ooooh, I like this. I'm one of those who notices every little thing, like the voice in this poem. Maybe others don't, but I do. Little things add up to great big things if one cares enough to pay attention. Highly romantic!
